What information is collected? How do we use it?

When you register as a participant on the Web Site, we receive information from the initiating local district attorney’s office, including without limitation certain information about your identity (e.g. name, driver’s license number), your alleged offense, the Course(s) you are required to take as part of your diversion program, and the fees for such Course (if applicable).

If you elect to pay your Course Fees through the Web Site using a credit card, you will be directed to a third- party website operated by the Payment Processing Provider (as defined in the Terms and Conditions), which collects required information to facilitate your payment, including, but not limited to, name, email address, mailing address, credit card number, and expiration date. The Payment Processing Provider may have its own privacy policy and additional terms and conditions for using its services, which you should familiarize yourself with. We do not receive any of the information that you provide to the Payment Processing Provider, except that the Payment Processing Provider notifies us when your transaction is complete and you have paid your Course Fees in full.

We retain your personal information only as long as it is necessary for our operations. In addition, we may retain personal information to comply with national laws, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigation, enforce our Terms and Conditions and take other actions required by applicable laws.
